11-17-11: Home Team Marketing (HTM) and Rush For A Cause (RFAC) are proud to announce their partnership in an effort to raise awareness and support for tragically and severely injured athletes, and to help promote injury prevention. RFAC was started in 2009 by then Brecksville-Broadview Heights High running back Matt Galland after a fellow football player was tragically injured in a routine tackle and left paralyzed. HTM is the nation's leading high school sports marketing company with a network of 5,000 high schools nationwide and 18 state high school association partnerships. Together these two organizations will use their expertise to educate and raise awareness for injury prevention and to support those athletes that have already been injured. HTM and RFAC will be supportive of one another's efforts.
RFAC has worked actively with local health care organizations, including the Cleveland Clinic, to promote the Ohio Concussion Bill. The Bill would ensure that young athletes and their parents are educated about the harmful effects of concussions. The Bill would also require athletes to be cleared by a licensed physician or trainer before returning to play. The Bill is similar to the rules already in place through the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), but it broadens the protection for young people by including coaches and athletes participating in youth sports organizations not affiliated with the OHSAA.
RFAC is currently creating an Advisory Board composed of Athletic Directors from around the country. According to RFAC President and Executive Director Debbie Galland, “The response to our outreach efforts has been heartwarming; there is a genuine concern for these injured athletes and a willingness to get involved to provide financial support for their rehabilitation.”
“Serious injuries happen and we can't predict when or who will fall victim to these events. However, we can be prepared for these accidents and act quickly to provide emotional and financial support to a student-athlete and his/her family when their world is turned upside down ” said Galland.
“The goal of our organization is to help injured athletes in all sports lead productive lives and contribute to society following their accident, while encouraging and supporting self-sufficiency and self-esteem. Together, we can make a difference” Galland added. “Rush For A Cause is a wonderful organization and we are very proud to be working with them” said Peter Fitzpatrick, President and Co-Founder of Home Team Marketing. “By raising awareness and helping promote legislation, we are hopeful that fewer athletes will be impacted by debilitating injuries.”

9-21-11: HTM is a proud supporter of the Christianville Mission in Haiti. Christianville was established in 1978 by Jim and Carol Herget. They saw the need to establish an orphanage and to meet the spiritual needs of the people in the Christianville area. Jean Claude Duvalier, President of Haiti, donated approximately thirty acres of land to Christianville for the establishment of an orphanage, and to provide humanitarian assistance.
Throughout the years, God has continually blessed the efforts of many people who had served Christianville. The programs of the mission have changed dramatically, but the goal of being a Christian witness to the people of Haiti has not changed.
Today the mission focuses most of its evangelistic efforts through our school system, which has an enrollment of over 1,200 students in grades kindergarten through grade 12; and the Christianville College, which commenced in 1998. Enrollment averages 120 students. Many churches have been started through God’s blessings and national pastors who serve throughout the nation of Haiti.
Christianville also provides Christian based humanitarian programs to meet some of the extreme physical needs of Haitians. Medical, dental, and eye clinic provide care for area people. An Elderly Nutrition Program provides supplementary food for church members and others in financial need. Through FISH Ministries our children receive a hot meal each school day. The meal includes the essential animal protein for early brain development.
